The morning continued in much the same fashion, moving slowly, waiting for the next discovery rather than aggressively seeking images. Though I shared the marsh with multitudes of runners, dogwalkers and other hikers, I had five hours to slow my pace and just be. It would be a much better world in which to live, I think, if once a week, everyone could slow their pace, enjoy the natural world and await the treasures around the corner, whatever they may be.

Death, taxes, and the march of time - I totally agree with this. Your blog entry is beautiful, both in words and photos. Those are amazing pictures you share. They make me wish that I could go walking with you.

I'm LOVING all the gorgeous photos Gwyn your blog is so much fun to visit! :) BTW I have to share that my husband and I spent the other morning (last week) at the Confluence Wetlands I thought of you and how you with your joy of birds and thought how you might enjoy visiting there as well. :)Oh and I'd love to come visit you and see all those gorgeous little Goldfinches! :) I read more about them online recently and found out what type of seed they like best. I filled a feeder in the backyard just for them and since we've had at least a dozen show up if not more. I guess I wasn't serving the right "dish" for breakfast huh?
